SSD vs. HD: Teste de velocidade

SSD vs. HD: Teste de velocidade Tube. Duration : 2.65 Mins.

THE RED PSU CABLES: Loads of people ask where the red extensions come from. I got them from www.modpc.co.uk Specs: - Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D - Motherboard: Asus Maximus III Gene - CPU: Intel i5 760 2.8GHz Quad - Ram: 4GB Corsair Dominator GT 2000MHz - PSU: OCZ ModXstream 600W - SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 60GB - HDD: WD Caviar Green 1TB - Graphics: Radeon HD 7970 (Sapphire) - Fan Controller: Asus OC Station - Cooling: Corsair H60 with AP15 and Yate Loon Red LED Fan, and 2 Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm fans Notes: - Both SSD and storage Hard Disk are mounted in a single 5.25" bay, allowing the removal of all original hard disk bays freeing up a lot of space for airflow. I used a Scythe Hard DIsk Stabilizer 2 to do this. - Most front panel cables like Firewire, USB2&3, audio and the stock fan controller have been removed as they are not used and to prevent a mess of cables at the back. - I don't plan on using the top mounted hot swap Sata bay so I've removed the cable and am using it on one of my drives. - The fan noise in the video has been amplified quite a bit as the camera didn't pick it up very well, its quite quiet in person. Optimize Windows 7 for SSD (Part 1) Disable or Move Page file and Disable system restore Tube. Duration : 2.42 Mins.

In this guide I show you how to get the most out of your SSD by setting up Windows 7 to use up less drive space. We begin by disabling 2 drive hogs, page file and system restore. This reduces the amount of space that windows sets aside in your hard drive for system restore backups and page file for ram. You can move your page file to another hard drive if you feel like you might need it. Disabling it entirely will make a program crash if you run out of RAM, so only do this if you have sufficient RAM to run all the programs you want to run. Steps: Right click My Computer - Properties - Advanced System Settings - Advanced Tab - Performance: Settings - Advanced tab - Virtual Memory: Change - set page file to your liking - OK/Apply - System Protection tab - Configure - Turn off system protection - Set max usage - Delete restore points - OK/Apply Next video will be how to optimize windows 7 to give you the best possible read/write times and maximize your SSD life expectancy

Build a PC Computer - How to choose a hard drive - All New for 2009 - homepcbuilder.com Video Clips. Duration : 9.10 Mins.

Buy the complete series of videos showing how to build a pc computer at www.homepcbuilder.com Overview In lesson 1 we'll cover SATA, IDE, external and SSD hard drives, what features and specs to look for when shopping, and how much you can expect to pay when building your own computer. The hard drive is where all information is stored on your computer. Be it the Windows operating system, programs you install, or files you download and create on the computer. Everything is stored on the hard drive. When selecting a hard drive to install into your computer there are two basic features you need to consider. They are the capacity and the speed of the drive. Capacity Capacity is how much data a hard drive can store. Capacity is measured in Giga Bytes and Tera Bytes. 1 GB is made up of 1000 Mega Bytes. 1 TB is made up of 1000 GB. To give you an example of how much you can fit into 1 GB of hard drive space, take a MP3 audio file. The average MP3 audio file takes up 5 MB. Divide 1000 by 5 and you get 200. So 1 GB of hard drive space can store 200 MP3 music files. A 1 TB hard drive, which is 1000 GB can store 200000 MP3 music files. The size of the drive you choose is up to you. Generally you should buy the biggest drive you can afford. We recommend at least a 750 GB drive. Speed: The speed of the hard drive is determined by the revolution speed of the disk inside the hard drive and the amount of memory cache included in the drive. The rotation speed is measured in RPMs or ...

How To Install A Solid State SSD Hard Drive In A Computer Video Clips. Duration : 10.65 Mins.

Here is how to install a SSD solid state hard drive in a computer. I bought a new computer with a 2 terrabyte standard hard drive, and I wanted to make it faster, so I bought a 120 GB SSD solid state hard drive and installed it in the computer. To replace the regular hard drive with a solid state drive in the computer, I used the manufacturer's backup utility to create backup disks, and then I removed the original hard drive, installed the SSD solid state drive, and did a system restore using the manufacturer's restore disks. The SSD hard drive is super fast, scoring a perfect 7.9 out of 7.9 in the Windows experience rating test. This is a cheap and easy way to make your computer super fast. The computer in the video is an Acer Predator A180-14006 with an Intel i7 2600 processor and an Invidia GT530 2GB video card. The SSD solid state hard drive is a Patriot Pyro. The computer cost 0 and the hard drive is 9.99 after rebate, so for under 00 I have an awesome super-fast computer. This is a worthwhile upgrade.

This video shows everything boot up in about 30 seconds after the Mac chime. It has been rebooted about 5 times now, so it should be settled with it's bootup time. I've heard / seen ~20 second bootups too, but those are crazy. Maybe when I use it longer, it will smartly cache more things into the flash portion of the drive.

Solid State Hybrid Drive Reviews; Watch the Solid State Hybrid Drive Reviews here Video Clips. Duration : 2.63 Mins.

Solid State Hybrid Drive Reviews: I replaced my 500GB 5400rpm WD with this Momentus XT after doing exhausting research. I use my MacBoook Pro laptop for analytical work involving large datsets. Here is why I settled on the Momentus XT vs an SSD. Momentus XT - 4GB SLC SSD integrated into the hard drive for speedy access commonly used files - Although not as fast as an SSD, but soooo much cheaper than 300GB+ of SSD space. - More vibration and a little more noise than my WD 500GB, but not significantly so. - Mac OS X doesn't support TRIM. I was concerned that a SSD drive would slow down significantly overtime without it. - Toms Hardware highly recommended it over other 7200 rpm laptop hard drives. See their review for all the techy details. Note that the integrated SSD is used only for reading, not for writing. It essentially clones your commonly used files on the 4GB SSD. If you are looking for a sweet spot between speed and space this is it. The Momentus has a 4GB SLC SSD integrated into the hard drive which allows for very fast reads of commonly used data. This translates into really fast application loading like an SSD. It uses a learning algorithm to decide what to store on the SSD so it takes some time to get to optimal performance. Most people have a lot of data that is accessed infrequently on their hard drive. Thus an SSD is overkill since there isn't much benefit to to storing infrequently accessed on a really fast drive. If you are accessing almost all of your ...

Dell Inspiron Duo SSD Installation Tutorial

Dell Inspiron Duo SSD Installation Tutorial Tube. Duration : 6.87 Mins.

This is my video tutorial of replacing the orginal HDD in the Dell Duo with an SSD version. This video should provide you with enough information to do the swap on your own. Note that I have windows already installed on my SSD. You will need to install the OS on your own - Please see my 1st video where I sort of show you that I boot from a USB drive to begin the install. Also the DUO is maxed out at 2GB of ram - but it will run x64 Windows but I do NOT recommend that.
